New Release: Tales of Haruki

Tales-of-Haruki-Album

A City-Pop Journey Through Memory and Hope, Powered by AI + Human Vision

Christchurch, New Zealand — 03/10/25 — Tales of Haruki is the latest AI-hybrid musical project from Vanterra Arts, presenting five compositions that map the emotional passage of Haruki, one of the City Bops personas: from youthful summer love and nostalgia, through heartbreak and longing, toward a fragile but determined step into the light.

Created in collaboration with ChatGPT and Suno AI, yet shaped, curated, and finalized by human hand, this EP blends City-Pop aesthetics with introspective balladry, merging the synthetic and the soulful. Each track is a vignette in Haruki’s Tokyo life, rendered in melodies, textures, and lyrical detail: Summer of ’84, The Waters of Sumida, Yellow Dress in the Crowd, Stuck in the Past, and A New Day.

More than a technical experiment, Tales of Haruki is a narrative in sound, where AI provides brushstrokes and the human dimension paints the contours. The EP invites listeners to follow Haruki’s emotional arc: to remember, to mourn, but ultimately to choose presence over perpetual looking back.
