One More Round

Last train’s humming past Shinjuku glow
Tie is loosened, nowhere left to go
Faces blur in neon streams
But I hold on to fading dreams

Home is cold and barely lit
Dinner’s cheap and never fits
Empty room and folded suits
I ride with Yamanote moods

One more round on the Circle Line
Spinning through the Tokyo night
Better here with strangers’ sound
Than walls where no one’s left around
One more round on the Circle Line
Spinning through the Tokyo night
Let the motion drown the past
Let these minutes slowly pass

Let the city pull me in
Till I’m numb beneath my skin
In this train I’m not alone
Sad, but somehow not unknown

One more round on the Circle Line
Spinning through the Tokyo night
Better here with strangers’ sound
Than walls where no one’s left around
One more round on the Circle Line
Spinning through the Tokyo night
Let the motion drown the past
Let these minutes slowly pass

One more round on the Circle Line
Spinning through the Tokyo night
Better here with strangers’ sound
Than walls where no one’s left around
One more round on the Circle Line
Spinning through the Tokyo night
Let the motion drown the past
Let these minutes slowly pass
