A New Day

Tales-of-Haruki-Album

いち、に、さん、よん!

新しい日!はい!行こう!

Ikebukuro in morning glow,
Another day, another flow.
But something shifts inside my chest,
Like the night has laid to rest.
I hear the footsteps, I hear the train,
But today it’s not the same refrain.

はい!行こう!

It’s a new day, I can feel the fire,
Lifting me up, taking me higher.
The new sunrise calls my name,
And I’ll never be the same.

Shops unlock and the shutters climb,
Shirts so white in the morning shine,
Coffee cups from Tully’s line,
One, two, three bows at the shrine.
The moment’s clear, the future near,
And I am lighter than all my years.

Ha! Let’s go!

It’s a new day, I can feel the fire,
Lifting me up, taking me higher.
The new sunrise calls my name,
And I’ll never be the same.

Yesterday fades like a passing song,
Today’s the place where I belong.
The future calls, I won’t look back,
I step ahead and stay on track.

It’s a new day, I can feel the fire,
Lifting me up, taking me higher.
The new sunrise calls my name,
And I’ll never be the same.

It’s a new day, I can feel the fire,
Lifting me up, taking me higher.
The new sunrise calls my name,
And I’ll never, I’ll never, I’ll never be the same.
